CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION-PMT-ET-PET
A. CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION:-
Candidates called for Certificate Verification/PMT/ET/PET will have to produce the original certificates which they had uploaded during the submission of the online application. A candidate who fails to produce the Original Certificates will lose his/her claims with regard to the communal reservation, age relaxation and special quotas.
B. PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT TEST:-
Physical Measurement Test comprises of height and chest measurement for men and height measurement for women. The minimum eligibility requirement is as follows:

a) MEN:-
Height
OC, BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC
Minimum 170 cms
SC, SC(A) and ST
Minimum 167 cms

(i) Normal
(ii) Expansion
Minimum 81 cms
Minimum 5 cms
b) WOMEN:-
Height
OC, BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC
Minimum 159 cms
SC, SC(A) and ST
Minimum 157 cms

Note:-
1. Ex-servicemen and Ex-personnel of Central Paramilitary Forces are exempted from Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
2. Departmental Quota candidates are exempted from Physical Measurement Test.
3. All the physical measurements (Height/Chest) will be rounded off to the nearest centimetre or the nearest 0.5 centimetres, as the case may be.
4. Appeal in Physical Measurement Test: When a candidate is dissatisfied with his measurement, he can make an appeal to the Sub-Committee Chairman regarding his Height / Chest re-measurement. Similarly, Women candidate can also make an appeal to the Sub-Committee Chairman regarding her height remeasurement.
5. Only the candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test will be allowed to appear for the Endurance Test (ET).
ENDURANCE TEST
Endurance Test comprises of following events.
i. Open quota and 20% Departmental Quota Candidates:-
  • Men:- 1500 metres run within 7 minutes
  • Women:- 400 metres run within 2 minutes 30 seconds
ii. Ex-servicemen and Ex-personnel of Central Paramilitary Forces Candidates:-
  • 1500 metres run within 8 minutes
iii. Only the candidates who qualify in the Endurance Test will be allowed to appear in Physical Efficiency Test.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET):-
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) comprises of following events

Note:-
i. Men candidates will compulsorily have to attend rope climbing. They should climb only with their hands. Climbing with the support of legs will lead to disqualification. Only one chance will be given to the candidates in rope climbing.
ii. Only two chances will be given only for the event of long jump / high jump. The highest score of these two changes will be considered for qualification.
iii. Only one chance will be given to the candidates for the event of 100 metres/ 400 metres run.
iv. Candidates should get minimum one star in each event, failing which they will be disqualified at the same stage.
v. A candidate may get a minimum of 3 Stars (6 Marks) or a maximum of 6 Stars (15 Marks).

Note:-
i. Ex-servicemen and Ex-personnel of Central Paramilitary Forces candidates should participate in all the events.
ii. Two chances will be given for the events of shot-put throw and long jump or high jump. The highest score of those two changes will be considered for qualification.
iii. Only one chance will be given to the candidates in 100 metres or 400 metres run.
iv. Candidates should get minimum one star in each event, failing which they will be disqualified in the same stage.
v. A candidate gets a minimum of 3 Stars (6 Marks) or a maximum of 6 Stars (15 Marks).
d) 20% Police Departmental Quota:-
20% Departmental Quota candidates are exempted from Physical Efficiency
Test (PET).
VIVA-VOCE

The Viva-Voce will be conducted at TNUSRB headquarters. Candidates who are called for Viva-Voce should produce all the Original Certificates at the time of Viva-Voce. Candidates who are serving as Government Servants (other than the departmental quota candidates) in Union or State Government should produce “No Objection Certificate” obtained from their respective Unit Heads. Candidates who are possessing NCC / NSS / Sports Certificates or Medals received in National Police Duty Meet (in-case of Departmental candidates) should produce the Original Certificates along with one photocopy of the same at the time of Viva-Voce for awarding of special marks.
SPECIAL MARKS
  1. Open Quota candidates will be given Special marks for their participation in NCC, NSS and Sports.
  2. Departmental Quota candidates will be given Special marks for medals in National Police Duty Meets. The details are furnished in Annexure-III.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND VERIFICATION OF CHARACTER AND ANTECEDENTS
  • Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination and verification of character and antecedents through the Police Department.
