SCHEME OF IAS EXAMINATION

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

(i) Nationality
        For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India.
(ii) Age Limits

  • Minimum age - 21
  • Maximum age - 32

(iii) Minimum Educational Qualifications :

          A Bachelor Degree of any of the universities

FEES:
         Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.
Candidates admitted to the Main Examination will be required to pay a further fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundreds only).

  • General OC - 6 years
  • OBC - 9 years
  • SC/ST - Nil
  • Disability persons - 9 years

PLAN OF EXAMINATION:

The competitive examination comprises two successive stages :

(i)  Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type)

NOTE:

      For the selection of candidates for Main Examination.


(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview)

NOTE:

        For the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts.
