1. AMMA SEEDS
- Tamilnadu chief minister ‘j.jayalalitha’ has launched this scheme
- ‘Amma seeds’ available for ‘Amma service centers’ in Tamilnadu
- YEAR-2014
- Aim- Ensuring quick response to peoples grievances wherein they can dial toll-free number ‘1100’ at any point of time.
- Tamilnadu chief minister ‘j.jayalalitha’ has launched this scheme
- Tamilnadu government had announced free bus travel for senior citizens in Chennai metropolitan areas.
- The free bus pass will be provided to the senior citizens
- 10 tokens are given to the person per month
- YEAR – 2016
- ‘thalikku thangam’ (Gold of Mangalsutra) scheme would benefit 12,500 women in the year of 2016-2017
- It involves providing marriage assistance and gold for daughters of poor parents and widows among other make ‘thaali’.
- This scheme will provide 8 gm of gold.
- ‘Amma free Wi-Fi’ zones in 50 places across the Tamilnadu.
- YEAR – 2016
- In the first phase, 50 schools covered at a cost of Rs.10 Cr.
6. HOUSING LOAN
- Tamilnadu chief minister ‘k.Palaniswami’ has launched this scheme
- It provided Rs.1580 Cr in the housing loan
- This is implemented by the state government with financial assistance from the center.
- YEAR – 2017
- This is only applicable for economical poor in society.
- It is a construction of concrete houses.
- AIM- subsided low-cost foot to poor people.
- This is the benefit for economically disadvantaged sections of society.
8. AMMA PHARMACY
- AIM – Sell quality medicines at “fair price”
- BRANCHES: Chennai, Erode, Salem, Cuddalore, Madurai, sivaganga, and viruthunagar
9. AMMA TWO-WHEELER SCHEME
- AIM - The scooter scheme for working women
- Benefit of subsidy component of 50% (or) Rs.25,000.
- Tamilnadu has launched Uzhavan mobile app
- This scheme will helpful for a farmer to cultivate in agriculture using organic fertilizers
11. THAI SCHEME
- Tamilnadu village habitation improvement scheme.
- It is a benefit for rural areas
- YEAR – 2011
- Minimum basic requirements of water supply, street light, cement concrete roads, link roads, cremation/burial ground, and pathway of a burial ground, playground, and bus stand.
- Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme
- YEAR – 2006
- It guarantees 100 Days of employment in the financial year to any rural household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.
- The central govt bears 100% cost of wage cost of unskilled labor work.
- Skilled or semi-skilled workers wages in the ratio of 75:25 central and state government split up.
- Its objective is the construction of free houses to a member of SC/ST in rural areas.
- Also to non-SC/ST rural poor living below the poverty line.
- YEAR – 1997
- Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) launched by the government of India
- To cover all households with sanitation facilities and promote hygiene behavior was introduced in Cuddalore and Coimbatore district, initially in 1999.
- It extended in phases to all districts in Tamilnadu by 2004
15. PMGSY
- Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was launched in 2000.
- To provide all-weather road access to unconnected habitations.
- The funding pattern revised to 60% central share and 40% Tamilnadu share.
- As an innovative technological intervention, the government of India has accorded approval under PMGSY.
