TNPSC Group 1 Exam stages
The candidate selection format is made in three stages.
- Preliminary Examination,
- Main Written Examination and
- Oral Test in the form of an Interview.
Procedure of selection
- The preliminary exam is an initial stage to elimination round.
- Center for preliminary exam held in all 32 districts.
- In this examination passing next move on the main examination.
- The number of candidates allowed for the main written examination is a ratio of 1:50 (fifty candidates written in one post).
- Center for the main examination only held in Chennai only (not other places).
- After passing the main examination, next go for an interview or oral test.
- The interview is conducted in Tamilnadu public service commission (TNPSC) in Chennai.
- Allowing interview candidate’s in the ratio of 1:10 (ten candidates attend in one post).
GENERAL INFORMATION
As per the Tamilnadu government rules of reservation is applicable for each post.
20% of vacancy reservation is only for the Tamil medium student (PSTM-person studied in Tamil medium).
3% of vacancy reservation is a differently abled person.
Candidate must have basic knowledge in Tamil.
Any incomplete information in your application is rejected.
